about me.I'm a London based film maker and editor. I am predominantly experienced in Avid Media Composer and Final Cut Pro. My recent experience in feature films has been as a VFX Data co-ordinator.
I have a passion for film making and in particular all things post production. I studied computer science at University which has helped me adapt well to file based workflows that we find ourselves in today. Recently I've been involved in Arri Alexa, Red, Canon DSLR and Film workflows.

what I do.I am a VFX data co-ordinator on World War Z (Paramount Pictures). We work as a small team for the production and liase directly with the VFX vendors.
My job is to ensure that the VFX data that was collected during the shoot is organised and distributed correctly for the shots that are in the edit. The data collected on set ranges from camera information, general VFX requirements, specific lens information, HDRI photography and other general reference. Given the complex nature of the camera moves in the show we used data loggers which recorded the lens length / aperture etc in sync with the timecode to help our vendors with tracking. what I use.Currently most of my day is spent using Filemaker Pro, the cross platform database solution. Our show specific database is constantly evolving to our needs. We always try to make things as easy as possible, which means scripting to automate what we can and also utilising apple script within Filemaker to make automatic handling of files much easier.
